Ever since I started my online business ventures, I always had an eye towards the academic side of how business really works, and by that I mean how efficeint businesses work.

Most people that want to make money online are really just looking for a better job, and that usually entails selling other people’s products as an affiliate marketer.

If you pause to ponder this point for a minute, the affiliate is merely selling products not their own but getting commissions for it.therefore, affiliate marketing on the outset is just working on a commissions-only basis.

Is being a commisons-only salesperson really the definition of a businessperson or someone who merely has the J.O.B. of working for no salary and/or benefits?Maybe, if you want to only consider the downsides to being someone who only sells other people’s products.  There are also pluses to being an affilaite marketer, too.

But for right now, we should discuss the one thing that all true businesses possess; a product of their own.  A lot of people will never, ever go to the lengths necessary to create their own products because there’s way too much work involved to do that…the first time.

We have discussed in brief detail what true businesses are made of, but how can the affiliate marketer create something that is a real business from a glorified salesperson’s job.

Professional bloggers earn residual incomes from advertisers who pay to advertise on their sites, and yet they still have a product in their sites because those sites were built up to the point where they became self-running entities.Their site or blog is a product because it performs actions for them in an automated fashion.  Once a blog becomes popular and reaches it’s critical mass, it become a form of automated marketing for the blog owner and the advertisers who are paying to display their wares on these types of sites because it has a torrent of interested traffic coming to the sites and canot be easily turned off.

The concept i’m slowly but surely trying to introduce you to is automated marketing systems as they apply to online marketing.

So what do automated marketing systems consist of and how do you implement them?  Automated marketiing systems require an automated way to get and keep clients, and the ways to do this and many and varied, depending on your target audience and how to best reach them.
