How to Make Money on the Web Using Your Natural Talent and Affiliate Programs

25 September 2009 No Comment

People who are the least bit informed about Internet marketing know rip-offs abound, no matter where you look. Unfortunately, unscrupulous marketers feed on the hordes of people who come online every day looking for ways to find financial freedom. It’s very sad, because millions of people probably spend money and lose a lot of time, only to chase down avenues with dead ends. Fortunately, methods abound for making money on the Web with no up-front investment. This will probably come as a revelation to those who have been ripped off by online schemes!

But the line between scam and just an ill-advised business opportunity can sometimes be thin. A good example of this is the recent controversy over an Internet business-in-a-box, called site Build It. Some people think that at least one person has written a Site Build It affiliate review that wasn’t entirely accurate. The owner stepped forward to defend himself and he could be totally right. But it’s up to every individual to do their own research before paying money for Internet “opportunities”.

One of the most successful ways I’ve found to make money online is above-board and also pretty simple to implement. I make money writing using HubPages. HubPages — a group blogging site — makes it quite simple to generate content-based ad revenue. How many content “hubs” (pages) you create is up to you. Each hub has the potential to make up to five forms of revenue: Google AdSense, Kontera in-text ads, Amazon products, eBay auction items and any affiliate marketing program you’d like to choose. You get the revenue from 60% of the page views that generate revenue and HubPages gets the other 40 percent. Affiliate programs are an exception to that rule though; One hundred percent of income generated by clicks from an affiliate link on a hub would belong to you. Creating solid hubs takes a bit of practice but the revenue you can generate over time makes it worth it.

One of the affiliate programs I like to use on my hubs is RevResponse, because it provides valuable free information for people. When people click on links to any of the RevResponse magazines or white papers and qualify, you make money. It’s that simple. Qualifying is not a shoe-in though, so you have to understand that aspect. To learn more about the rules, check out this RevResponse affiliate marketing review. The information in the review will help you know whether the RevResponse program is right for your readers.
